Every Monday we do GYMNASTICS.



We go to gymnastic with room 16.We split up into five group, 2 groups with all room 20`s,2 groups with all room 16`s and one
mix classes group.Our favourite bit is the rings.
We did a warm up and and a warm down
hehehaha.It was sad because Mr Holland didn't get to do it
boohoo.
On the seventeenth we better have a go on the trampoline

In my weekends i was playing a game called club penguin.
I was bored and lonely then my tummy was starting to ache.
My mum was rushing to come downstairs.
I had to go to my mums restaurant on Saturday it was called then at 11:00
i had to go to my Uncles house i wasn't very happy because i was happy in the restaurant but someone dragged me to there
car and had to go back at 9:00.
The next day i sleeped and watched t.v.
Then i went to my mums restrsunrt again and i wasn't bored becasue
of my psp.
Next i spent that day doing my speech also i did chours and had
to go to the park with my gramother she is 70 years old.
Also my birthday was coming up.

The lady already lived in the area so she took them there .When they finally got out the kid had all these diamonds in the volcano .They came out in Italy the Italian man who's house that they crashed into started yelling at them but then the kid pulled out a diamond that he got from the volcano and he said thank you may stay here how long u want and then it was the end. In my holidays my family and I went to the South Island.
First time we went to Lake Tekapo.
Their Lake was very beautiful.
Second time we went to Queenstown.
We went to Ski.
We borrowed some clothes and we bought Ski gloves.
It takes a very long time.
We only have to play Ski in 4o'clock but we were wasting our time.
Third time we went to Milford sound but we forgot the petrol.So the assistant gave us the petrol and we paied the money then we went into the boat called Cruze.
It was really fun to ride in a boat.
I didn't ride boat when I was in Korea.
After Milford Sound we went to Duniden.
We ride the train and the train assistant gave us the pen.

After train finished we went to Chocolate factory just like Charlie and Chocolate factory.
Now it's time to go back to our home.
We was really really hungry.
So we went to Mcdonald but beside to the Mcdonald their was KFC but my mum said'let's justgo to Mcdonald.'So we went to Mcdonald.
Then we was going back to Christchurch but we was late.
Everyone was really sleepy so when we went back to our home we slept.

On Thursday the 18th I went to Australia.
Our first hotel was called Wings.
It had a nice view of the Gold coast.
On the first day we went to sea world. I went on the pirate ship and the roller coaster.
The day after we went to movie world.Me and my dad went on the Batman space shot.
On the last day at the Gold coast we went up Q1, the tallest building in Australia.
When we got to the Sunshine coast we went to underwater world.We went through the under water tunnel and I saw lots of different fishes.

Our Holidays

Matisse: in my holidays I went down to Milton and stayed with my Uncle David I went on his boat and while we were on his boat we went fishing though we didn't catch anything unfortunately. The next day at night we went lure fishing and we caught a fish! It wasn't very big though they gave us some of it anyway they already two and a half fish in their fridge.I would have eaten it if it wasn't so plain. Hey maybe I should of put salt on it? Oh well.




Jack C:in the holidays I was 9.I got pocket knife.We were driving to wanaka and Mac threw 1 of my presents at my head. Mum
served us McDonalds.I got a new jacket and Mac started crying because he was very jealous.We went skiing at kidrona I went down the captains basin(a place for good skiers).At wanaka we went on the lake fishing.I found a friend called Ben and hoe had a pocket knife too.When I was going I said "just a minute Mum!" And I went to a tree with Ben and cut of some bark and wrote our names on it with our pocket knifes.6 and a half hours to get home and we went through 5 whole packets of lollies and by the time we got home it was 11:56.





Jamin: In the holidays I was eating noodles(even though I had a really wiggly tooth)But suddenly my wiggly tooth fell into the noodles. So my Dad looked through the noodles to find my tooth. My sister and I burst out laughing! Sad thing is he threw it in the rubbish bin! Thats when we stopped laughing and my sister asked him "why did you throw it in the rubbish bin?' At Taekwondo the instructors told me my tooth wouldn 't grow. I was so surprised by that. It was a fun day!

Ben and Harry's Holiday

When school was over I went to Hamner.
Me and my family went to the holiday home that we normally go to.
When we got there we had lunch which was pies from the ilam bake house (I had A chicken pie).
After lunch Reed,Dad and I went to the pools. By Ben.

In my holidays I went to the movies to see Journey To The Centre Of Earth.
It was In 3D.My favourite 3D part was at the start when one of those bugs that
you see in fossils had it's anteiners poking out at you. Did you know Ricarton
is one of the cinemas that has a 3D pro-jecter,which is pretty cool because
there aren't very many cinemas in New Zealand that have 3D pro-jecters.

This week our whole school had a week called art week

This week a guy called Gareth and a girl called Annie taught us how to play tennis.
We played a heaps of cool game like crabs and cop and robbers.

P.S one of the teams were called " barbie girls" the team had all boys in it.

Student lead conference on Tuesday

On Tuesday we did SLC. We showed our work that we did. First we showed our narrative and a piece poetry. Then we tried out our instructions that we made. After that we showed our reading book to our parents. Then we showed our maths by answering to questions and show the working out. Afterwards we showed our parents our favourite piece of art. After we did that we showed the inquiry like the presentation or the evaluation sheet. Then we showed the parents how to get to the this blog. Then we showed the things like dream maker, communicator, team player and thinker.

Hi my name is Michaela and I am going to tell about room 20 Olympic corner. Well we working on our Olympic Corner.
An Olympic corner is a thing were you can do anything about the Olympics like an Olympic medal table that's when you have about 7 or 8 countries and you have got to keep all the countries on track. What I mean by that is you have bronze silver and gold paper like orange yellow and grey paper and then you go on the computer and find a web site that tells you how many sliver bronze or gold they have. Oh and I forgot to tell you my rime here it is

Olympic events

In the Olympic games there are events. Olympic events are not that much violent.
These are my favourite events.
Javelin

Javelin is a event that you need to throw a sharp stick and make it go really far. You have 3 tries of throwing the stick.


Long jump

Long jump is a event that you run up and then jump the furthest. You will land on the sand at some point of your jump.

Hammer throw

Hammer throw is a Olympic game and a heavy ball stuck to a flexible metal kind of string. You have to throw that ball far to win this event.

Vault

Vault is a sport that you run up and flip over and the better you do the more chance of winning.

Table tennis

Table tennis is a game that you need to have a small racket and smack a ball so it can go to your opponent. If you smack the ball and it hits somewhere that is not where the table is the opposite person gets a point. The first one that gets 21 points win.

This is all of my favourite Olympic sports.

Rainy Day

Why has it been so rainy, because I don't like it because we can't go outside or play games it isn't fair. The good thing is that we played outside for lunch today well for playing that is. For eating we stayed inside.

For Reading we were designing an ultimate shoe.
It has to be a sport's shoe and you have to advertise it really well.
Emily did advertise it really well so I guess it would make people want buy it. Ben's shoe is for rugby. It has rocket booster's and super sonic speed.I think Theresa's shoe is really neat and it's the best drawing of a shoe I've ever seen! History of guns

Guns are really powerful weapons.Guns are made up of a handle,barrel,scope and trigger with a few extra bits inside.The gun is a smaller and more advanced weapon than a cannon. The cannon is a large weapon and is more powerful than a gun but is not as agile as a gun and doesn't have a scope so is not very good at aiming.The cannon was invented by the chinese blacksmiths as well as the gun.Cannons were invented in the
11th century and a couple of year later the gun was invented.We use guns for killing,hunting and sports.

Hi!!! My name is Jessica. The Olympic games are on and they are
in Beijing this year and NZ waiting to win
gold.

In flat-water rowing (for woman) we came third. For men's in gymnastics,
we did the rings, beam and the poles.
For women and men's swimming, they did the butterfly and the freestyle.

For the kids, I saw the diving.We came first for kids.


FACTS:
1)Some of china's fireworks were fake for the opening Ceremony.'o'
2)When the girl was singing, they thought she was too ugly,
so they got another girl to mime it and the real girl was
behind the scenes singing it. 'o'

Hi it's Annabelle In Rm 20. We have been learning about the Olympic Games.
We made these little posters around the class room.We enjoyed making them it was fun.
I learnt that the Olympic Games are held on the 8.8.08. We have had a lot of fun learning about the events.
In a corner of the class room we made a cool medal table and China has WON!!!

USA came 2nd and Russia came 3rd it's bad luck that we didn't get placing.

This term we are doing art also we are learning to write instructions.
On Tuesdays after morning tea we have Mrs R in our class.We write poems.
We like our class because it's brilliant and fun!

Water cycle

Hi it's Matisse. Here we are going to do some science experiments and learn about science. For example we have been learning about the water cycle. This is how it goes: it starts off at the sea, then it evaporates and turns into water vapour and then gathers to make a cloud. Then they travel up while they do that they collect more and more water vapour and by the time it gets to the top it has too much water vapour it rains. Forms a river and travels to the sea, and that's the water cycle.

About the Olympics

We are so excited about the Olympics! The last Olympics were in Athens. We are excited because it is a BIG event and it doesn't
happen often. Jack's favourite Olympic game is swimming , Jamin's favourite sport is Taekwondo and my favourite Olympic sport is soccer and the five Olympic rings represent the five continents and the flame was ignited by the sun. The Olympic flag
was first flown during the 1920. Did you know that the colours on the Olympic logo wich are blue, yellow, black, green and red.
The colours were chosen because at least one of the colours are on each country's flag (New Zealand is black!). Finally we've got some medals! 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 5 bronze medals! Well that's everything we've got!
